At our April meeting we had a talk from Paula Gamester from the Wellbeing Project about 5 things everyone can do to keep
healthy, physically and mentally. She also did a great job advertising‘The
Health Place’ at Blackburne House; it certainly sounds good and the prices look
cheaper than some other spas in Liverpool!! We then had a Thai Chi session from
Patricia which was very calming. It was a beautiful demonstration of
this ancient health inducing practice which left us all invigorated and wanting
more.
All our good intentions and hard work were undone when Elizabeth produced the most fantastic sticky toffee pudding for us all to celebrate the birth of her mum’s
first great grandchild; thankyou and congratulations. I’m just glad we didn’t
let her tell us how many calories were in it undoing all that healthy living!
