Well what a treat our April meeting was everyone seemed to be smiling
at the end so I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did. Anthony from the
Rock Choir was fabulous and so patient taking us through the three parts of the
harmony until we had cracked it. Have to say that from where I stood we all
sounded brilliant and you could hear the 3 parts; so well done everyone and an
even bigger well done to Anthony and many thanks. The web site if anyone wants
to join the Rock Choir is www.rockchoir.com.
Dont forget, if you put your name down to see
Wicked on the 17th
Sept that Pat needs the money at our next meeting, May 12th, to confirm the
booking.
With regard to notices from last night: More information on“The
back our bees campaign” can be found at www.thewi.org
or www.foe.co.uk
and if you feel strongly then please write to theSecretary of state or your
local MP. The WI has a template to fill in and send off to the secretary of
state. This is a cause which is dear to our hearts as a branch as we became
involved in the 2009 save the bees campaign and members look after the bees on
the roof of Blackburne House.
More information can also be found on the 2014 Resolution
“Increasing Organ donation” at www.theWI.org.uk/resolutionsfor those who didn’t get a chance to look at the
information last night.
Look forward to seeing you all next time for a tour of Blackburne
House. Gaynor x
